A charred area covers hills in the Bear Paw Mountains Wednesday. Beaver Creek Park staff said cabin owners and recreationists need to know the park is still closed and no access to cabins or recreation sites is allowed and all side roads on the park are closed. Traffic is allowed to and down Taylor Road but people cannot use Montana Secondary Highway 234, Beaver Creek Road, south of Taylor Road.
With some cabin owners apparently under the impression they can again access their cabins in Beaver Creek Park, park staff said they want to let people know that the park still is closed to all recreation and no access to cabins or recreation sites is allowed at this time.
Firefighters battling the East Fork Fire are still on the scene and the situation is still unsafe.
Traffic is allowed on Montana Secondary Highway 234, Beaver Creek Road, to Taylor Road and down Taylor Road but traffic is not allowed south of Taylor Road and all side roads in the park are closed and access to campsites and cabins is not allowed.
The park will notify people as the situation changes.
