Christine Morsette, 69, reunited with her mother, father, brothers and sisters Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, after reaching the end of her illness.
Christine was born in Harlem, Montana, March 23, 1948, to Louis Morsette and Cecelia (Buckman) Morsette. She was raised and educated in Havre. Christine lived and worked in Havre, Butte, Great Falls and Missoula.
After her hard work and dedication, she graduated from Salish Kootenai College in Pablo in 2001 with a degree in human services. She returned to Rocky Boy to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing hand game, that gave her a chance to catch up with old friends, make new friends, smoke cigarettes and drink coffee to her heart's delight.
Mom's eternal pride were her kids and grandkids, and she enjoyed spending time with all her family She could talk on the phone for hours to let you know the latest events or retell stories from her youth,
Chris is survived by her daughter, Eleanor YellowRobe, son-in-law, Jay Eagleman of Rocky Boy, and her son, Lewis YellowRobe of Missoula; her grandchildren, Frances Eagleman and her husband, Marcus Old Coyote, and great-granddaughter, Irie Old Coyote of Hardin, Montana; Lindsey Eagleman of Rocky Boy, and Leigha Onco and Mary Jane Onco of Polson, Montana.
She is also survived by her brother, Randy Morsette of Havre, Montana, and many nieces and nephews.
Her mother, Cecelia; father, Louis; brothers, Lindsey Morsette, Ken Morsette, Louis "Louie" Morsette and Wayne Thomas Morsette; and sisters, Donna Hampson, Ethel Betty Morsette and Marjorie Morsette preceded her passing.
A wake was held at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, and services Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017.
