An employee of Schellinger Construction of Columbia Falls works Tuesday at the Havre City-County Airport. Construction funded through a Federal Aviation Administration grant, is underway to repair taxiways, tarmac and water drainage at the airport. Workers are milling the tarmac to prepare for a new surface, and the taxiway is getting a face lift where 25 inches of base was removed and replaced with the turns to the tarmac made wider and more gradual. The tarmac will be widened to accommodate larger aircraft that land at the airport. The drainage is also being repaired, replaced and extended.
