Havre teams finish the summer at home

After the Havre 10U All Stars went to Eugene, Oregon, to play in the Cal Ripken Northwest Regional, they returned home for one final weekend of baseball. And a number of other Havre teams were also in action as there were tournaments at both Lions and Elks Park last weekend.

Elks Park was the host to the a 10U round-robin tournament Sunday, while Lions played host to a tournament for 12U, which was started Saturday and concluded with the championship game Sunday. The championship game featured the Havre 12U AA taking on the North Central All Stars, with Havre winning 7-4.

The 10U tournament featured the Havre 10U All-Stars, Conrad and then another team from Havre, known as Havre A. Havre AA (the 10U All Stars) took on Havre A Sunday morning and earned a 26-6 victory before beating Conrad 16-1 the same day. Conrad finished with a record of 1-1 after defeating Havre A also on Sunday.

In the 12U tournament, Havre AA, Havre A and the North Central All Stars all played played a total of four games with Havre AA going 4-0, North Central going 2-2 and Havre A finishing 0-4. Havre AA opened the tournament with wins Saturday over North Central and Havre by the scores of 13-4 and 19-3 respectively. Havre AA also knocked off Havre A in the second matchup between the two teams Sunday, 24-3. Havre AA then beat North Central in the championship game 7-4.
