Charlie Stimson from Dallas Texas leads his daughter Mary, Laurie Martinelli from Boston and Richard Ellis from San Antonio Monday while riding on U.S. Highway 2 west of Havre. They are part of a larger group riding across the United States to raise awareness of and funding for research on multiple sclerosis while volunteering for people with the disease. Their ride started in Bar Harbor, Maine, May 28 and will end in Seattle Aug. 4. The group reached their next pit stop in Chester, where each of the groups of riders had lunch at Spud's Cafe. The riders said the worst part of the ride was the hot west wind and how dangerous it was with no shoulder to ride on Highway 2. To find out more or donate, visit http://biketheusforms.org.
