Havre Police Department

Officers arrested a 17-year-old on a charge of shoplifting after a 10:20 a.m. Monday call from a First Street business about a shoplifter in custody.

Officers assisting a task force on 12th Avenue Monday at 12:52 p.m. arrested Velores Lynn Walker of Hays, 59, on a charge of probation violation.

Rebel Denny of Box Elder, 19, was issued a summons on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, expired registration and no insurance, first offense during a motor vehicle stop on First Street West at 7:46 p.m. Monday.

Samuel Alexander St. marks of Havre, 36, was arrested on a charge of partner of family member assault after a 19th Avenue Northeast caller reported a disturbance Tuesday at 12:23 a.m.

Lara Shante Lawrence of Havre, 20, was arrested on charges of violation of a no contact order, disorderly conduct, minor in possession, violation of conditions of release and revocation or suspended or deferred sentence after a Fifth Street caller reported Tuesday at 4:04 a.m. that someone was in her house, but should not be there.

David Perez of Havre, 41, was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt Tuesday at 7:20 a.m. in relation to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation.

Officers investigated a Tuesday 2:55 p.m. report of a gas theft from a Fourth Street church.

Donald James Doney of Hays, 55, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a caller at a First Street business reported a possibly intoxicated man falling down and trying to enter her vehicle.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated an 8:28 a.m. Monday complaint from Seventh Street North.

Deputies investigated a 6:04 p.m. Monday report from Second Street Northwest of found or lost property.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Monday and three calls Tuesday.

Fire crews were called Tuesday to four fires that were quickly extinguished. A fire on the 1600 Block of 34th Avenue Northeast at 6:54 p.m. that burned a small area of natural vegetation was put out by two firefighters. A 10:01 p.m. fire on the 1900 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West was put out before the fire crew arrived, so the call was canceled. A grass fire in a vacant lot on the 4000 Block of 16th Street Northeast called in at 11:13 p.m. was put out by two firefighters. And a 100- to 120 foot stretch of Bullhook drainage, burning at 11:14 p.m. on the 2700 Block of 5th Avenue, was extinguished by two firefighters.
