Havre Police Department

Officers investigated after a 10th Street West caller reported Wednesday at 7:03 a.m.  that someone took the keys to her car and threatened her about money she owed him.

Officers investigated  after a First Street West business caller reported Wednesday at 8:12 a.m. that there was a hit and run crash in the parking lot the previous night. The caller called again at 11:09 a.m. reporting that one of the parties involved got in touch.

Clarissa Lynn Newfield  of Havre, 30, was arrested on a criminal mischief charge after a Third Street caller reported Wednesday at 8:33 a.m. that his pregnant girlfriend was destroying things in his apartment.

Darrin George Healy of Harlem, 43, was arrested on a violations of conditions of release charge after a Probation and Parole officer reported a drunk man on conditions.

——

Officers investigated after a Second Street caller reported Wednesday at 3:07 p.m. that a female was assaulted.

——

Officers investigated after a Fifth Avenue business caller reported Wednesday at 4:03 p.m. a motor vehicle crash nearby.

——

Officers investigated  after a Sixth Street caller reported Wednesday at 5:39 p.m. that a city worker broke out the window of a vehicle while mowing grass.

——

Officers investigated after a 10th Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 7:57 p.m. that someone may have illegally entered his house.

——

Officers investigated after an assault was reported Wednesday at 11:16 p.m.

Officers issued two summonses today at 2:20 a.m. at Optimist Park. A 17- and 16-year-old were each issued a summons on a juvenile curfew violations charge.

Garry Alan Gipner of Tucson, Arizona, 59, was arrested on a criminal trespass property charge after a First Street West business caller reported this morning at 4:15 that a male was back in the store.

 

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated after a 15th Avenue North caller reported Wednesday at 4:17 p.m. that their white Chevrolet van was spray painted.

Gene Allen Swick of Havre, 40, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, violations of conditions release and on two state District Court warrants Wednesday at 5:47 p.m. at a Third Street North establishment.

——

Deputies investigated a juvenile curfew violation today at 12:06 a.m.

 

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to a call Wednesday and one today.

Fire crews responded to the 1700 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West  after someone reported Wednesday at 2:12 p.m. a smoke odor in the basement.  No further action was necessary as there was no smoke or fire.

Fire crews responded to the 700 Block of Second Street Wednesday at 4:09 p.m. to assist police with extracting someone out of a house.

 

Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning a female German shepherd, a female border collie-Labrador retriever mix and a female pit bull terrier.

The animal shelter held this morning two short-haired and four medium-haired cats.

Births

A boy was born Wednesday, June 14, 2017, to Kyle and Courtney Finneman of Havre.
