In an effort to increase the move to buying locally and to push for local products and farm-to-table sales in local markets, a new sale is set to start next Friday at Fort Belknap.
People’s Market, a version of local sales often known as a farmers market or makers market, is set to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Horsecapture Park at the Fort Belknap Agency next to the tourism building.
A flyer for the program says vendors of all kinds will be offering a variety of food and other items for sale at the market.

Fort Belknap is also closing in on another make and buy local program. The Fort Belknap Community Economic Development Program said recently that the Red Creek Trading Post and Pantry project, a cooperative grocery story in Lodge Pole that will sell locally grown and made projects, was tentatively scheduled to open the end of this month.
