Longtime Hingham Town Council Alderman Roger Haas has filed to run for re-election, running unopposed to date.
A Hingham native and farmer, Haas said he has been on the council for several terms.
He is a graduate of Hingham High School, which has since consolidated with other schools twice and now is part of North Star High School in Rudyard. He has a wife, Cathie, and two adult daughters, Heather Glahn and Holly Haas.
Hass said he is running for re-election to his at-large seat on the council to ensure things “keep running as smoothly as possible.”
“We’ve got things pretty much under control and we are just trying to keep it that way,” Haas said.
Mayors Tim Solomon of Havre and Ray Lipp of Hingham have filed for re-election, as has Havre City Court Judge Virginia Siegel.
