Wanda Marilyn Morris Ragan of Green River, Wyoming, formerly of Blaine County and Big Sandy, Montana, 78, passed away Jan. 18, 2017, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a hard-fought battle with pulmonary hypertension, surrounded by family.
Mom was born March 10, 1938, in Harlem, Montana the fifth child and only daughter of Gail and Fay(Statelen) Morris.
Sept. 11, 1955, she married the love of her life, James H. Ragan in Big Sandy, Montana. To this union, four children were born. Mom always said her greatest accomplishment was her
family. She loved us all dearly, as we did her.
Mom is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James H. Ragan in 2004; her parents, Gail and Fay Morris; her grandparents; three brothers, McKinley, Donald and
Waldon Morris; and a great-grandson, Jordan Tyrel Lane Ragan in 2003.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, James J. Ragan of Nevada, Floyce and Les Mord of Wyoming, Darren and Dawn Ragan of Nevada and Marilyn Ragan of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, Joshua (Naomi) Ragan, Tiffany (Brett) Maxwell, Jason (Raquel) Ragan, Jaime (Chrissy) Ragan, Marshall Mord (Melissa Nash), Jesse (Shannon) Ragan, Melissa Ragan, Jessica Ragan (Edward Nugent), Emily Bodin and D.J. Ragan; 13 great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; her brother Richard L. Morris of Washington, as well as many many extended family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Mom on June 10, 2017, 1 p.m. at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre, Montana.
Final resting place for Wanda Marilyn Morris Ragan and James Homer Ragan will be in Big Sandy, Montana, with interment June 11, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Big Sandy Cemetery.
