The South Central and North Central Area Health Education Centers at the Montana Hospital Association, in partnership with Shodair Children’s Hospital and the Montana Office of Public Instruction, will be hosting the first statewide Heads Up Camp in Helena.
Montana high school sophomores and juniors who attend the camp will explore a wide range of behavioral health careers including psychology, social work, licensed addiction counseling, psychiatry and more. Students will also become certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and attend workshops about resiliency training, bullying prevention, and stigmas surrounding mental illness. The program will accept 22 students into the camp which will be held July 30-August 2.
