Cole Monroe recovering from third-degree burns
A benefit is set Thursday to help Cole Monroe recover from third-degree burns he suffered when gasoline was thrown on a bonfire while he was camping with some friends, putting him in a hospital in Salt Lake City for more than two weeks and keeping him away from his job at Al’s Metal Works.
An account for Monroe, 30, has been set up at Independence Bank and Thursday, if people tell the person ringing up their order at Pizza Hut, the restaurant will donate 20 percent of the purchase price to Monroe’s benefit.
Monroe required skin grafts to recover from the burns he sustained, and is now recovering back in Havre. While he has received some help through the Blue Cross/Blue Shield’s Montana Help Plan, the insurance is not enough to cover his expenses and lost wages, and the Pizza Hut benefit and benefit account at Independence Bank was established to assist him with those costs.
