News you can use
Editor,
In moving forward with our new 4-H Chuckwagon facility, we want to see how much interest we have from interested parties, tradesmen, or contractors who are willing to help in all areas of construction. We will be having a 50-foot by 140-foot metal building constructed by Clausen and Sons, Dave Clausen being the project manager. One end of the building will be a 15-by-50 foot storage area, with two multi-use areas, the kitchen and restrooms occupying the rest of the structure.
At this time, the details for the heating/cooling and electrical systems are not in place. The individual trades for these areas will be asked to help in the design of these systems.
Other areas of the project include overhead door supply and installation, placing of concrete slab and sidewalks, interior framing/sheet rocking/taping/painting, installation of bathroom compartments/accessories.
Please let us know what level of commitment you would be interested in making with this project by contacting Dave or Autumn at Clausen and Sons, 395-5400.
We are very excited to move forward and appreciate any and all help we may receive. Our goal would be to have required commitments in place by Friday, May 26, combined with the funds we currently have raised, to where we are comfortable in demolishing the existing Chuckwagon after the 2017 fair, doing dirt work and placing concrete late fall 2017 or first thing spring of 2018, erecting the shell, and getting interior work done to be up and running before the 2018 fair.
A number of local contractors and suppliers have expressed interest in our project over the past several years and we highly appreciate that, and all your support, as always! We would like to involve all parties that we can, so we look forward to working together to see what we can come up with to finally bring this project to reality.
Thank you for your valued support.
Sincerely,
Hill County 4-H Foundation and
Hill County 4-H Council
