Letter to the Editor - Thank you for support at Clack Museum historical tea

Editor,

On April 29, the Friends of the Clack Museum hosted the Second Annual Historical Tea for the purpose of raising funds for the New Havre History Center’s building projects.

On behalf of the H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board of Hill County and the H. Earl and Margaret Turner Clack Memorial Museum Foundation, we would like to express our deep appreciation to the many, many women and men who helped make this “tea” a very memorable event.

Co-chaired by Judy Ward and Karen Vosen, the appointed table host and hostesses, the servers, the food preparers, the kitchen staff and the crew at The Best Western Havre Inn and Suites are all extended a thank-you. In addition, Pam Veis spoke about each of the 18 honored women, Barb Zook played the harp, and Turner Askew, grandson of Margaret Turner Clack, shared memories of his grandmother. Karen Vosen’s beautiful Bear Paw Quilt was raffled off and won by Donna Wood. The master of ceremonies was Lorren Scholtfeldt, and Foundation President Elaine Morse led the group in sharing stories of the honorees.

The Historical Tea grossed more than $5,300. We thank the community of Havre and the Hi-Line for their generous support of our fundraising efforts. Thank you, too, to both boards for their never-tiring work on behalf of Havre’s history.

Judi Dritshulas, chair,

H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum Board
