Gallus told the class some history of the Bear Paw Mountains and Beaver Creek during the 3-mile trek through meadows of rich grass and wild flowers with knowledge of vegetation and wildlife. The trip gave a spectacular view of Mount Otis, the highest point in Beaver Creek Park, and vast rich valleys coming to life in the spring.
