Week unites residents, staff and volunteers at Northern Montana Care Center
From Northern Montana Health Care
The Northern Montana Care Center will be celebrating National Nursing Home Week, which runs this week, from May 14 to 20.
This year’s national observance’s theme, “The Spirit of America,” highlights the bond among staff, volunteers and residents that captures the American spirit.
The celebration of National Nursing Home Week at Northern Montana Care Center will serve to encourage acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion in the center, and recognize those who have helped residents enjoy a better quality of life. The week will conclude Friday with an Awards Ceremony for the Care Center employees.
“We are grateful that so many individuals in our community are coming together to celebrate the work we do,” said Christen Obresley, vice president of Regulatory and Community Services of Northern Montana Health Care. “This year, we are using the power of relationships which captures the unique spirit of Northern Montana Care Center. Our residents are treated as family here. This is their home, and we try to incorporate and foster that feeling as often as we can.”
Established by the American Health Care Association in 1967, this week provides an opportunity for residents and their loved ones, staff, volunteers and surrounding communities to acknowledge the role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities.
