CAMARILLO, Calif. - Sharon Field, 70, died Feb. 24, 2017, of heart failure, after a long struggle with heart problems, diabetes and, previously, blood cancer.
A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery in Havre at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017.
Sharon was born July 27, 1946, in Helena, Montana, and graduated from high school in Bismarck, North Dakota, in 1964. While pursuing a nursing degree at Northern Montana College in Havre, she met Dwayne Field.
The two transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman and married while there. They were active alumni and dedicated Montana State Bobcat football fans, holding season tickets and attending games as recently as the last few years.
She received her RN degree and worked as a nurse in California to the time of her retirement.
Sharon enjoyed attending her children's activities, especially swimming competitions; she liked to follow her grandchildren's competitions after that, in a variety of sports. She enjoyed crafting, especially creating hand-made greeting cards that she sent out religiously to family and friends. She was also very active at her church, the Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Field; daughters, Tami (Carl) Van Wezel and Natalie (Steve) Anderson, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Camarillo; sister, Marj (Harold) Kelso of Billings, Montana; brother, Jim (Sherene) Clute of Minot, North Dakota, sister-in-law Linda Keeler of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
