The Chinook girls tennis team has dominated the Class B-C state tournament in each of the last three seasons. But the sugarbeeters have been on top of the Northern B-C for even longer.
Thursday and Friday, Chinook will look to keep its reign over the Northern B-C when the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts host the 2017 girls divisional tournament.
The tournament, which sends six singles players and four doubles teams to next week's Class B-C state tourney in Missoula, will run each morning in Havre, and feature Chinook, Chester-Joplin-Inverness and Harlem. Of course, the Beeters, of head coach Thom MacLean, will be heavy favorites at the divisonal meet and will look to fight for their fourth straight state title.
