From Highway 2 Association
The Highway 2 Association Annual Meeting is set for Friday, May 19, at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow.
Association President Bob Sivertsen said, “We purposely held off until the Legislature adjourned so we could provide a summary of legislation of interest to northern Montana.”
Sivertsen said legislators and Gov. Steve Bullock have been invited to discuss actions of the 65th Legislature.
Highway and infrastructure funding was a top priority of the association, Sivertsen said.
“We worked closely with the Montana Infrastructure Coalition on bills that provided funding,” he said. “This legislative session provided more funding than any in the last decade; our efforts paid off,” he said.
The meeting will include an update of highway projects in the U.S. Highway 2 corridor as well as a discussion about the economic future of northern Montana.
The association meeting will convene at 11 a.m. with a no host lunch and adjourn by 3 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public.
People can RSVP by May 17 at 406-262-2346 or via email at [email protected].
