Infinity Bakery holds grand opening in 305 Building

A month-old bakery in The 305 Building held its grand opening Monday including a ribbon-cutting ceremony held by the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

Dottie Wilson, a former baker at Grateful Bread, opened Infinity Bake Shoppe LLC last month.

Wilson said she did not always think of owning a business, but when she saw the open space, it seemed like the right move.

"It just kind of all came together," she said.

Infinity offers a variety of baked goods including cookies, pastries, scones and cinnamon rolls. Wilson said she also offers three varieties of baked donuts.

Wilson operates the main-flor store, which faces Third Avenue, with three part-time employees. She said she never planned on having that many workers, but needed the help because the response has been phenomenal since they opened.

Wilson said she also decided to go into business because she thought it would provide her daughter Keeley with a more purposeful future.

Keeley, who has Williams syndrome, has started a business of her own, Lady Bug Bites LLC, making and selling treats for dogs and cats.

Keeley Wilson said she started making the treats with her father, Stewart, in January. She said that she makes the treats at home.

Customers can choose from a small number of flavors at the store or can place an order by phone, she said adding that there are as many as 15 flavors including peanut brittle, cheese and barbecue chicken.

Prices for the treats range from $3.50 to $5.

Hours for Infinity Bake Shoppe and Lady Bug Bites are Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
