Photographer Teresa Getten held a grand opening for her business Monday, a new photography studio in The 305 Building in downtown Havre.
Teresa Getten, the studio owner, shares a space on the main floor of the building with Infinity Bake Shoppe LLC.
Despite 17 years of experience in professional photography, Getten said, she has never had her own studio where she can sit with clients and discuss their photography needs. She opened her studio about a month ago.
Getten holds a bachelor's degree in photojournalism from the University of Utah and an associate degree in art and photography from Salt Lake Community College.
She said she does photography for weddings, graduations and engagements and holds sessions for other photographs.
Getten said she is also selling post cards that she made of landscapes in the Havre area.
"I've noticed that all the Montana postcards are of western Montana and not a lot of the Hi-Line, and this is a really beautiful area, and there is a need for some really awesome postcards," she said.
A one-hour session costs $250 and comes with 40 digital images and the printing rights to them.
She is offering a $75 Mother's Day session for the month of May.
Getten said she takes clients by appointment. She said she tries to come in to the studio every day but sometimes she is out on location.
