Montana State University-Northern’s radio station and resident acting troupe are giving people a chance to celebrate the end of the school year Saturday with a special concert.
KNMC and Montana Actors’ Theatre are sponsoring Tribute!, a collection of local artists paying tribute to some of their favorite artists, starting at 3 p.m. in the amphitheater behind Pershing Hall.
The event is free and open to the public.
Northern’s Inter Organizational Council will be selling food from 5 to 7 p.m. and Vic’s Place will provide a cash bar.
The sponsors recommend people bring blankets and camp chairs for the show, which is expected to run to 8 p.m.
In case of bad weather, the event will move to the Student Union Building Ballroom.
The schedule of the tributes planned is:
3 p.m. — Carole King — performed by Carole & the Tapestries
3:30 p.m. — Dwight Yoakam — performed by The Local Yoakams
4 p.m. — 3 Doors Down — performed by Loser
4:30 p.m. — Prince — performed by Strawberry Visor
5 p.m. — Tom Petty — performed by Dane the Torpedoes
5:30 p.m. — CCR — performed by Creedence Bullhook Revivial
6 p.m. — Eagles — performed by Tastes Like Chicken
6:30 p.m. — Fleetwood Mac — performed by Fleetwood Supply
7 p.m. — Black Sabbath — performed by War Pigs
7:30 p.m. — Led Zeppelin — performed by Wooden Balloon
