Obituary: Audrey Elizabeth Remus

Audrey Elizabeth Remus of Great Falls, Montana, 93 passed away surrounded by her loving family April 23, 2017, due to injuries sustained by a fall.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.

Audrey was born on March 28, 1924, in Great Falls, Montana, to Robert Townsend and Pauline Becker. Audrey graduated from Great Falls High School in 1943. She met Al Remus and they eloped in Choteau, Montana, in 1943. Audrey was a life master of the Big Sky Bridge Club and traveled to numerous duplicate bridge tournaments. In her younger years, Audrey enjoyed traveling to her cabin on the Missouri River. She was a true seamstress as well. Audrey could sew anything and everything. In her later years, she enjoyed sewing hats and potholder-towels the most. She always had an abundant amount of sewing fabric.

Survivors are daughter, Shelley (Frank) Rossberg of Great Falls; sons, Barry (Ann) Remus of Havre, Bob (Barb) Remus of Great Falls, and Keli (Elaine) Remus of Burlington, Washington; grandchildren, Todd (Michelle) Remus of Williston, North Dakota, Kim (Travis) Wray of Williston, North Dakota, Laura (Graeme) Hill of Renton, Washington, Lyndie (Allen) Wirtala of Puyallup, Washington, Rayn (Sean) Ginnaty of Great Falls, Bobbi Remus of Great Falls, Jasen (Ashton) Remus of Kalispell and Aaren Remus of Burlington, Washington; and her sister-in-law, Bev Townsend of Helena, whom she thought of as her sister. Audrey is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded Audrey in death include her parents; husband, Al Remus, and brother, Gene Townsend.
