Kaitlyn Bird, Fort Benton Track
The Fort Benton girls are really, really good in track, as evidenced by them winning the Seeley-Swan meet last Saturday. And Kaitlyn Bird is a really good distance runner for the Longhorns. At the Seeley-Swan Meet, Bird won both the 800 and 1,600-meter races, the fourth straight track meet she's accomplished that feat. In all, Bird, who is also a standout on the basketball court, has won nine races so far this season, and has helped Fort Benton to four different team titles.
Reece Hutton, Harlem Track
Harlem High senior Reece Hutton was a star on the football field this past fall. He's now doing the same thing on the track. Two weeks ago, Hutton won the shot put and discus at both he Cal Wearley Invitational and Lions Havre Invitational at the Havre Middle School Track. And the 2017 Shrine Game nominee isn't slowing down either. Hutton also won the shot put at the Cut bank Easter Meet last week, and he has the top shot put throw in Class B this season. Hutton was also a standout in wrestling this past winter.
