Quick Pics - Celebrating Big Sandy's library

Piano teacher Judy Pleskae, whose mother was one of the first librarians in Big Sandy, plays the electric piano Tuesday during the grand opening of the Jeff Reichelt Memorial Library, the Big Sandy Branch of the Chouteau County Library. Community members planned and raised funds for years to build the new home for the Big Sandy library, in the location of the former Kaste Department Store. Janis Kaiser donated the building in 2007 for a new library, asking it be named in memory of her son, who died on the 1980s while returning home from college when a drunk driver crashed into his vehicle.
