Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Logan Huebsch, Havre High Track

The high school track and field season is off and running, and so is Havre High junior Logan Huebsch. In the Lions Havre Invite last Saturday, Huebsch won the 300 hurdles with a time of 49.6 and added a second place in the 100 hurdles. Earlier in the week, Huebsch, who also competes in volleyball at HHS, finished 3rd and 4th, respectively in the same events. Huebsch is in her third season of varsity track for the Blue Ponies and is a returning All-Conference performer.

Cody Welsch, Turner Track

Turner has but two boys varsity sports, and one of them is track and field. And in Saturday's Lions Havre Invite, Turner's Cody Welsch was outstanding, as he captured the title in the 110 hurdles with a blazing time of 17.5. Welsch, who also plays basketball at Turner, added a fourth-place finish in the 300 hurdles in the meet, and his scoring helped the Tornadoes to a fourth-place finish in the field of more than 20 teams at the Havre Middle School Track.
