Quick Pics - Plowing with old-time equipment

Kelly Jones pulls a moldboard plow Saturday on Ray Toth's property east of Havre. Farmers gathered at Toth's property to do a little plowing with antique tractors. Jones said that, for him, it was a trip down memory lane as he talked about the Farmall 1945 H which his grandfather bought for the family farm. The tractor is how his mother, Ardyce Jones, learned to drive, he said. Jones bought the tractor from a neighbor who lives next to the farm. He said, "I took the battery out of the garage put it in and it started right up." The tractor plowed the field like it was a new machine, he added. "The engine has never been touched," he said.
