Editor,
We enthusiastically support Greg Gianforte for Congress, urging Montana voters to elect him to the House of Representatives in the special election on May 25th.
We also urge Montana voters to not be deceived by the Democratic Party misinformation about Greg. First, Greg is not a rich outsider to Montana. He moved to Montana nearly 20 years ago, long before he became a millionaire. He and his wife, Susan, began their business at their kitchen table in Bozeman with $5,000 and went on to make it an extremely successful high-tech company. Greg knows how to help create opportunity for Montanans.
But even completely apart from his business success, his wife, Susan, has said that moving to Montana was the best decision they ever made for their family, a decision they have not regretted for a nanosecond. Montana is their hearts’ home.
Second, Greg is not a threat to public lands in Montana. As a landowner, he understands private land owner rights over against government overreach. At the same time, he is a sportsman and conservationist who understands the desires and rights of those who want to protect public lands and preserve access to them.
Third, Greg is not against public education. In fact, he values education so highly that he and his wife have invested heavily in both public and private education, including donating money for technology and computer sciences training for public school teachers and students. His personal commitments to education will benefit all our children in Montana.
Do not let the Democrat Party paint Greg with their slander. Also, do not let them persuade you that Rob Quist is somehow or other a “real Montanan.” How much more out of step with Montana values could he be as he advocates for sanctuary cities in defiance of federal immigration law and gun registration as the equivalent of car registration.
If you want someone to sing at your daughter’s wedding, we recommend Rob Quist. If you want someone to represent you in Congress, we recommend Greg Gianforte.
Sincerely,
Rich Jespersen
On behalf of the Chouteau County Republican Party Central Committee
