Robert Blair of Three Canyon Farms points to a slide Saturday in a Havre Inn & Suites conference room during a presentation about drones in agriculture at the Montana Farmers Union state conference. Blair said using drones is becoming more popular with today's farmers and will become the norm in agriculture. Crops may look good on the ground level but the data from drone fly-overs can pinpoint problem areas and provide data about weed control, animal control and water, nitrate and pesticide use plus help in crop insurance adjustment, he said.
