Royal Bliss making concert stop at Havre's Eagle Club

Royal Bliss, a country-rock band from Salt Lake City that has opened for such widely known artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, will perform 7 p.m Sunday at the Havre Eagles Club.

"If you like really good music in the vein of the Eagles or Tom Petty, if you really like good music, these guys are masters of really good music," said Greg Smith, a music promoter from Malta who is organizing the three-stop tour.

Smith said the show at the Eagles  Club will be the last leg of the tour. Royal Bliss will play Friday in Helena at The Silver City Saloon and Saturday at the Hideout Lounge in Great Falls before arriving in Havre.

Smith said he booked the group, which tours throughout the country, at last year's Rockin the Rivers Music Festival, a three-day music festival at Three Forks. The band will play there again this year.

"Every once in a while, a band really catches my ear that is universally good, and they fell in this category," Smith said

Royal Bliss' website says the group has released at least four albums. In 2009, the group's debut album with Capitol Records. "Life In-Between," made the Billboard top 200 and No. 1 in the Billboard Heatseekers.

Steve Neiffer,  who helped organize the show in Havre, said Aaron Whitesell, a Havre-area musician, will be the opening act.

Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the door or $15 in advance at the Eagles Club, Bear Paw Meats or Bergren Transmission.
