JoAnn Louise Murphy passed away due to congestive heart failure and pneumonia Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at a hospital in Hemet, Califorinia.
JoAnn had been in assisted living since July 7, 2016.
JoAnn was born in Havre, Montana, Aug. 12, 1935, to Louise Trotche Murphy and Vance Murphy. JoAnn was raised in Havre and attended school there.
JoAnn married Loren MacIver in Havre Nov. 25, 1951. They had two children in Havre, Larry and Lorelie, and in 1957, they moved to California, where they had two more children, Craig and Scott.
The couple later divorced, and JoAnn married Paul Hogue in Yuma, Arizona, in 1973. JoAnn and Paul divorced in 1992, and JoAnn lived for the past 29 years in the Anza, California, area.
JoAnn was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for several companies and retired in 1994 following a bad car accident.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Lorelei in 2004 and sons Scott and Larry, both in 2013.
She is survived by her son Craig (Katherine) of Aguanga, California; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters, Caroline (Gilbert) Fleury of Great Falls, Montana, Deanna (Bud) Tuss of Bozeman, Montana, and Elaine (Phil) Moen of Havre, and her brother, Donald Murphy of Butte, Montana.
