Havre Middle School will host a night of art, music, woodwork projects and snacks as part of Monday night’s Fine Arts Night.
“It’s a concert and an art show together,” Rhonda Minnick, the school choir teacher, said Tuesday.
The annual event will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature the select singing group The Spotlighters, the sixth-grade choir and the pep band in the assembly room. Select soloists and instrumentalists will also be playing.
Cookies made by home economics students will be available in the cafeteria, and woodshop projects made by Industrial Arts teacher Tim Hagen’s students will be available for viewing.
Art made by Stephanie McLain’s art students will be featured in the assembly room and foyer.
Minnick said Fine Arts Night has been happening since before she came onboard as a Havre Middle School teacher and has been very well received in the past.
Students know that if they do a solo during the concert they will be selected to perform for senior citizens at the Salute to Seniors event, which takes place in the spring, she said.
