Obituary: Brandan Lee Haas

Brandan Lee Haas of Havre, 44, passed away Feb. 21, 2017, at his home due to natural causes.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Holland and Bonine Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Ila McClenahan officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Memorials in Brandan's name may be made to the North Central Senior Citizens Center, 2 Second St. W, Havre, MT 59501 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Brandan was born Aug. 20, 1972, to DeWayne and Bonnie Haas in Havre. He was raised and attended school in Havre, graduating from Havre High in 1991. Brandan who began working at the age of 10 and continued work after graduation. He was a hard worker and held jobs with Havre Public Schools, Montana State University-Northern and, most recently, at the North Central Senior Citizens Center. His favorite job was at the Senior Center. He enjoyed spending time and visiting with those who attended lunch and activities there. He also would deliver meals if they needed an extra set of hands for the day.

Brandan was big on family and enjoyed anytime he spent with his. His nieces were his world and they were inseparable. Holidays and birthdays were particularly special to him and one could be sure they wouldn't get through their day without him singing "Happy Birthday" to them, even if it wasn't in the best pitch. He had a big heart, an even bigger smile and enough "energy and personality for two." He enjoyed camping and fishing in Beaver Creek, hunting with his brothers-in-law and riding his bike.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Clara Haas and Leonard and MonaBelle Opperud; aunt Beverly Haas; and uncles Ronald and Kenneth 'Robin' Haas.

He is survived by his parents, DeWayne and Bonnie Haas of Havre; sisters, Jeanette (Josh) Wierzbicki of Havre and Shelcee (Nathan) Graves of Missoula; nieces, Jadyn and Jalyn Wierzbicki and Madi Graves; nephew, Alex Graves; his cat, Sylvester; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
