January Rocky Boy Senior High School Students of the Month
Samwala Windyboy, a freshman at Rocky Boy Jr./Sr. High School is a January Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Tiger Denny. Her teachers say Sam is kind, courteous and respectful in and out of the classroom. Her warm smile and kind spirit makes her a joy to be around. Sam enjoys school and puts forth her best effort. Not only does Sam maintain her studies but also exemplifies school spirit in her role on the cheerleading squad.
Freshman Cedric Belcourt is also a January Student of the Month. Cedric is the son of Jacqueline Gopher and Jason Belcourt. His teachers say Cedric displays an eagerness and curiosity to learn every day. He has a happy disposition and is a great classmate. Cedric is a student athlete, playing football and basketball. As a freshman on the varsity team, he shows dedication and tremendous heart to play alongside the upper classmen.
January Rocky Boy Junior High School Students of the Month
The Rocky Boy Junior High staff selected Kendra Gopher for a January Student of the Month, saying Kendra is a wonderful young woman, she is respectful and responsible, and she comes to class prepared and willingly does anything asked of her. Kendra is well liked by both staff and her classmates. Kendra is an athlete in the school as well as a student; she is currently participating in volleyball. Kendra is also a traditional dancer who participates in many community events. Her nominators said Kendra exemplifies being a STAR in all areas: being a graduate, being respectful, being responsible, and being safe.
The Rocky Boy Junior High staff also nominated Pete Russette for their January student of the month, saying he is an incredible young man; he is very good-natured and never seems to be in a bad or crabby mood. Pete has a wonderful sense of humor and is always laughing at the other student’s antics and his teachers’ jokes. Pete is an active participant in the Junior High Science Club; he seldom misses a meeting and eagerly partakes in all activities. Pete demonstrates what it means to be a STAR with his outstanding attitude and willingness to do whatever is asked of him.
