Best Westerns leader plays at Triple Dog

Izack Opatz, a singer and songwriter from Whitefish and a member of the band The Best Westerns, will be performing this Sunday at Triple Dog Brewering Co., 5 to 8 p.m.

Dave Martens, who will be playing drums with Opatz at the show and is manager of KNMC which is sponsoring the event, said the event is free and open to the public. KNMC is the radio station at Montana State University-Northern.

He said Opatz, whose music he described as hybrid Americana with a mix of country-rock and folk, will play songs from his upcoming solo album “Mariachi Static,” which is set to be released in February.
