Keevan Borlaug, North Star Basketball
The North Star Knights didn’t quite get two wins this weekend. But in an important District 9C split, Keevan Borlaug was fantastic. Borlaug scored a season-high 27 points in North Star’s dominant win over Turner Friday night, and he answered the bell again with 25 points in a tight loss to Box Elder Saturday. Borlaug is having a big season for the Knights, one that has carried over from football where he was a Six-Man All-State selection.
Kyndall Keller, Havre Basketball
Kyndall Keller isn’t two full months into her high school basketball career. But she sure isn’t playing like a normal freshman. Keller is a starting guard for the Havre Blue Ponies, and this past weekend, she busted out in a big way, totaling 36 points, including scoring a career-high 24 Friday night against Belgrade. Keller hit two 3-pointers in that game, and she went on to add 12 more in Havre’s blowout win over Livingston on Saturday afternoon.
