Martin Wilkie, Havre Wrestling

Havre High wrestling standout Martin Wilkie is picking up right where he left off. Actually, he's even better. Wilkie won a Class A state title as a freshman Blue Pony last season, and now he's off to a dominant start to his sophomore campaign. Wilkie cruised to the 126-pound title at the Havre Invitational on Dec. 3, then, he helped the Ponies capture their fourth straight team title at the Mining City Duals this past weekend, as he went unbeaten, including a huge bonus-point win over Flathead.

L'Tia Lawrence, Harlem Girls Basketball

The Harlem girls basketball team is 2-0 after two wiins at this past weekend's Native American Classic in Havre. And a big reason why was sensational freshman L'Tia Lawrence. In Thursday's victory over Hays-Lodge Pole, Lawrence buried three 3-pointers and scored 28 points, and for good measure, she added 26 points and four three's in a win over Kainai, Alberta on Saturday night. For the two games, Lawrence averaged 27 points per game, making her Harlem debut one of the most exciting in recent years.
