Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a complaint after someone asked to speak to officers  Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.  about some threats she saw on Facebook.

Officers assisted a citizen after someone reported Wednesday at 12:48 p.m. a possible auto scam.

Jacob William Rodgers of Harlem, 25, was arrested Wednesday at 4:40 p.m. on First Street West on a Justice or City court warrant.

Everson Mosquito of Havre, 22, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant today at 12:26 a.m. as an officer was conducting a building check at Montana State University- Northern.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a theft report after a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business caller reported  a case of employee theft Wednesday at 2:48 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emegency medical personnel responded to one call Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to a call Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. on the 200 Block of First Street where someone had reported that there was smoke upstairs. An  investigation showed that a ceiling fan had an electrical short. An electrician was called to repair the problem and no further action was necessary.

Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning a brown female weimaraner-pit bull mix, a black and brown shepherd mix, a brown pitbull mix, a yellow Labrador- shepherd mix, a black and white border collie, and a black pitbull mix.

The animal shelter held this morning a tiger-striped gray cat, a 9-week-old orange kitten, three gray and brown 9-week-old kittens, five black Siamese mix 9-month-old kittens, a 3-month-old gray kitten, three black and white 1-year-old kittens, an orange kitten, a tiger-striped cat, a gray kitten and a gray adult tom cat.
