Havre Police Department

Macedonia Frances Mondragon of Box Elder, 31, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and obstructing a peace officer and on a Justice or City court warrant after a First Street business caller reported Tuesday at 11:02 a.m. that there was a combative shoplifter in the parking lot.

Officers investigated a fraud report after someone asked to speak to an officer Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. about someone who was trying to open credit cards in her name.

Aaron James Spragg of Havre, 19, was arrested Tuesday at 4:39 p.m. on a charge of theft from building after a Montana State University-Northern caller reported at 3:27 p.m. that someone pawned the caller’s Xbox.

Timothy Lee Dennis of Chinook, 34, was arrested on charges of violation of protective order and revocation of suspended or deferred sentence after a Fifth Street caller reported Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. a temporary restraining order violation.

Vicki Lynn Simonson of Havre, 50, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant  Tuesday at 7:53 p.m. at the police station.

Salvador Campos Rivera of Havre, 35, was issued a summons for charges of dog at large, two counts, and “other,” after a 15th Street West caller reported Tuesday at 9:10 p.m. that two pit bulls killed his cat.

Cameron Joseph Blackcrow of Hays, 25, was arrested on two state District Court warrants and a Justice or City court warrant.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a disturbance after a 33rd Avenue Northeast caller made a report Tuesday at 12:40 p.m.

Deputies assisted a citizen after a 15th Street North caller made a report Tuesday at 1:27 p.m.

Deputies assisted another agency after receiving a call Tuesday at 11:36 p.m. from a First Street Northeast address.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Tuesday.

Fire crews responded to a call Tuesday at 11:43 a.m. on the 600 Block of Second Street after construction workers reported a gas smell. After investigation by NorthWestern Energy it was determined that there was no leak and no further action was necessary.

Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning a brown female weimaraner-pit bull mix, a black and brown shepherd mix, a brown pitbull mix, a yellow Labrador- shepherd mix, a black and white border collie, a black pitbull mix, and a gray wiemaraner-Labrador mix.

The animal shelter held this morning a tiger-striped gray cat, a 9-week-old orange kitten, three gray and brown 9-week-old kittens, five black siamese mix 9-month-old kittens, a 3-month-old gray kitten, three black and white 1-year-old kittens, an orange kitten, a tiger-striped cat, a gray kitten and a gray adult tom cat.
