Editor,
I recently came across a Letter to the Editor claiming that Ryan Zinke is not suitable to serve in Congress.
As a 25-year Montanan who has personally seen Zinke at work, I would like to argue just the opposite and here’s why: Ryan Zinke stays true to his word and does not waiver on the issues he is fighting for--even when that means straying from his own party.
A U.S. Navy SEAL himself, Zinke understands America’s duty to assist our allies when necessary if it means keeping the homeland safe and secure. He voted to stop the transfer and release of terrorists from Guantanamo Bay after the Obama Administration put our country at risk by fighting to close it down. As a mother and grandmother, there is no issue of greater importance than the safety and security of my family.
He is also speaking out against the monster known as the Affordable Care Act. I personally have been hurt by this disastrous piece of legislation and appreciate Zinke’s efforts to repeal the ACA.
I moved to Montana to raise my family here in hopes of providing them with a better quality of life. Zinke has my vote because I believe he has fought — and will continue to fight — for a better quality of life for my four children and my eight grandchildren. He puts his faith, his family, and his country before anything else.
Congressman Ryan Zinke’s record in the House of Representatives proves he has been a faithful and loyal leader to our Treasure State and I look forward to seeing him continue to serve in Congress when he is re-elected Nov. 8.
