Salon opens in 305 Building

The owner of a  hair salon on 3rd Avenue in Havre held an open house Friday night.

Bethany Lynn Ward-Holzworth, a licensed cosmetologist and the owner of Hi-Line Hair was serving up wine and refreshments for patrons and members of the community in the two-room space on the third floor of the 305 Building.

Ward-Holzworth is originally from Havre but lived in Bozeman until moving back with her husband about a year ago.

“I just wanted to work for myself,” said Ward-Holzworth, who has no employees.

Hi-Line Hair is her first business. She said she decided to open her salon after learning about the availability of the space and decided the rent was reasonable.

Ward-Holzworth said that she provides haircuts, beard trims, hair coloring, eyebrow waxes and in-depth consultations to clients. Since opening, she said, she has seen about four clients a day during her work.  

A full line of Moroccan oil styling products are sold at the salon. Ward-Holzworth said she hopes to expand her stock to include other items.  

She said the one-on-one time between her and the clients makes for a climate that is relaxing.

“I just want to provide an upscale salon for people, a place for people to come and just relax and not feel like they are in a salon, really,” Ward-Holzworth said.

Her hours are typically Tuesday through Thursday noon to 8 p.m and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. People can make appointments by calling her at 390-4685.
