Editor,
When we go to the polls, how well do we really know those who are candidates for office? Do we know them or do we just know about them? Have we checked their positions on various issues? Better yet, do they have a voting record we can look at? Also, what is their life experience? What part has education played a role, whether it be a college degree or the years spent serving others? How has their workplace been part of their training so that they might be able to relate to their constituents?
Stephanie Hess has a bachelor’s degree in social work, and she spent 17 years working in the field, six of those years at Northern Montana Care Center. She also served as an aide in the 2007 and 2009 Montana legislative sessions. More recently, she has served us well in her first term in the Legislature. Stephanie served on three House committees in the Montana Legislature: Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Human Services, and the all-important Judiciary Committee. She sponsored House Bill 75, which authorized creation of the Sexual Assault Protection Unit in the Attorney General’s Office.
Judy and I wholeheartedly endorse Stephanie Hess for House District 28. Stephanie is a pro-life Christian who serves with compassion and integrity. She has shown the proven leadership that we can count on.
