Elizabeth Kaasa poses Sept. 18 with a moose she shot in northwestern Montana north of Libby. Kaasa won a drawing for the tag and shot the moose on the fourth day of hunting with her father, Dave Kaasa. Dave Kaasa said the antlers had a 43-inch spread, and the green score is 158 4/8. Elizabeth Kaasa won the tag for the moose in a lottery, a nearly once-in-a-lifetime event. People must wait seven years after winning a moose tag before they can re-enter the lottery, and many people who enter never win a tag.
