Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a report of vandalism called in from 11 Street West Wednesday at 10:28 a.m.

Alexander Dennis Eakins of Havre, 27, was arrested on charges of unlawful restraint, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and revocation of suspended or deferred sentence after a Second Street caller reported a domestic disturbance Wednesday at 11:31 a.m.

Kathy Casares of Havre, 58, was issued a summons on a charge of obscene phone call after someone reported an incident Wednesday at 1:39 p.m. at the police station.

Officers investigated a domestic disturbance report called in Wednesday at 5:39 from Fourth Street.

Officers called to Smithville Road for investigation of a juvenile status offense Wednesday at 11:44 p.m. issued a summons to a 14-year-old on charges juvenile curfew violations, youth in need of intervention and juvenile runaway.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Derek Paul Converse of Havre, 32, was arrested on a state District Court warrant after deputies were called to District Court Wednesday at 2:39 p.m.

Brian Douglas Carpenter of Havre, 39, was arrested on a state District Court warrant Wednesday at 9:44 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday.

Fire crews were called Wednesday at 4:26 p.m. to the 900 Block of 2nd Street North after a homeowner reported hitting a gas line with digging with equipment in the backyard. NorthWestern Energy was called to the scene to make repairs and fire crews stayed on site until work was completed.

Fire crews were called Wednesday 9:18 p.m. to the 2600 Block of Old Post Road after smoke was reported. A controlled burn from the previous day had been buried with dirt, but hot embers had started smoldering in buried rubbish.

Births

A girl was born Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, to Shelbee and Brian Fritchman of Havre.

Havre Animal Shelter

Wednesday, the animal shelter held a female, brown weimaraner-pit bull mix and a black and brown shepher-mix. Cats in the shelter included a tiger-striped gray cat with five kittens, an orange cat, a tortiouse shell cat and a gray cat.
