Middle School Roundup

Another busy week of Havre Middle School sports is in the books.

In girls basketball last week, the Mustangs were in Malta for the Malta Jamboree. In seventh-grade games, Havre White defeated Malta 52-14, and beat the Havre Blue 51-10, while Malta beat Havre Blue 35-17. In eighth-grade action, Havre Blue defeated Malta 25-22, Havre White beat Malta 39-32 and Havre Blue and Havre White tied 16-16.

The Havre Middle School football teams took the field against Lewistown last Saturday as well. The seventh-grade Havre squad defeated the Eagles 49-6, while the Mustangs lost the eighth-grade game, 28-15.

Finally, in cross country, the Mustangs traveled to the Glasgow Invitational last Saturday, where a pair of sixth-graders had good success. Avery Carlson won the middle school race for Havre, while Paul Bartlett finished sixth in the boys race.
