Town Pump matching Havre Food Bank donations

The Town Pump Foundation is once again working to help the Havre Food Bank along with other food banks in the state by matching cash donations made to the bank.

Lorna Bjerga, director of the Havre Food Bank, said Town Pump will match every dollar donated to Havre Food Bank up to $7,500 through the end of November.

Bjerga said people can make donations at Town Pump, at the Havre Food Bank at 453 Fifth St. North in North Havre or at the District 4 HRDC Office at 2229 Fifth Ave.

Bjerga said that while food donations are critical to the food bank’s operations, cash donations are just as important. Without financial help, she said, the Havre Food Bank would not be able to pay its bills and would have to shut down.
