St. Jude's to celebrate centennial anniversary

St. Jude Thaddeus School will celebrate it's centennial anniversary this weekend with a barbecue, games, and maybe even bagpipe performers.

The 100th Anniversary Celebration will start Friday at 5 p.m. with a barbecue in the school parking lot, where hamburgers and hot dogs will be served with a free-will donation.

On Saturday, St. Jude's will participate in the Havre Festival Days parade, which is scheduled to began at 10 a.m. Afterward,there will be an open house at the school beginning at noon.

The largest of the celebrations starts Saturday at 5 p.m.

Aside from a barbecue, there will also be snow cone machines and a cash bar for adults. Children will be able to play in a bounce house as well as participate in games.

The bagpipe players who are in town for the Havre Festival Days may also make it to one of the events, but it's unclear if and which they will.

The events are open to the public and commemorative t-shirts will be available.
