Alion Eagleman Sr. pleaded guilty to and received a 10-day sentence, with credit for 10 days served, on the misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, amended from a felony charge of partner of family member assault. The sentence was suspended for six months, and during that time, Eagleman is not allowed to drink alcohol or enter bars.
The investigation into Eagleman began Aug. 23 after a witness said he punched a woman in the face and left the scene.
The woman, who is Eagleman’s sister, said the fight started after her brother and his friend came over and said she would never get her kids back. After she threw something at the friend and told him to leave, Eagleman and his sister fought, she said. He charged and tackled her and she punched him in the nose. Officers noticed scrapes on the woman’s legs.
Officers then found Eagleman at his home, with dry blood around his nostrils and a mark on the left side of his face. He also smelled of alcohol.
Eagleman refused to provide any information about how he was injured, the charging document said. He said he went over to his sister’s for some beer and things got “wild.”
Woman sentenced for endangering life of children
A woman who got in a drunken argument with her sister while her three children were in the car received a sentence of 14 days in jail on one charge and a three-year deferred imposition of sentence on another.
Teresa A. Jiron received six months in the county jail with all but 14 days suspended, with credit for time served, for a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, second offense. She also received a three-year deferred imposition of sentence for a felony charge of criminal child endangerment.
If Jiron abides by all conditions of her release, after the three years probation she can petition to have the felony charge struck from her record.
Jiron was ordered to pay a $2,400 fine and $300 for assigned counsel. She was also ordered to complete an alcohol information course at Bullhook Community Community Health Center.
The investigation into Jiron started after police received a call Nov. 25 about two women fighting outside.
Officers arrived and found Jiron in the passenger seat of her car. She had a bruise on her right temple, scratches on her face and smelled of alcohol.
After talking to multiple eyewitnesses, officers confirmed that Jiron had driven to her sister’s home, which is where she was found, and then got in a fight with her in the car.
Her sister and children were in their home by the time officers arrived on the scene.
Witnesses had reported seeing two women pulling on one child while the car was moving, and children being thrown out while the car was stationary. The sister had a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 10-month-old. After several requests to enter, officers were eventually allowed into the sister’s home.
Officers found the children locked in a bathroom, the youngest chewing on a shower rod support. The sister was arrested and taken to jail.
After failing a series of sobriety tests, Jiron was taken to jail for driving a vehicle under the influence while there were three children inside.
Man sentenced for beating girlfriend
A man who hit his ex-girlfriend in the face, squeezed her neck and slammed her against a refrigerator was sentenced to three days in the county jail and three years probation.
Justin M. Bibeau, received a three-year deferred imposition of sentence for felony criminal mischief, and one year in the county jail with all but three days suspended with credit for three days served, for negligent endangerment, a misdemeanor.
The charges were amended from felony aggravated assault and felony partner or family assault.
The investigation started Nov. 7, after officers got a call from Bibeau’s ex-girlfriend saying he had hit her in the face and pulled her hair.
The ex-girlfriend told officers that Bibeau came over and entered her home after she was dropped off at home by a friend. Once she got inside, Bibeau hit her, threw her on the bed and wrapped his hands around her jaw and neck and squeezed. She said feared she was going to die.

After he didn’t find any, he broke the door down to the bathroom, but the woman had managed to call a friend who called the police. Bibeau slammed her against the refrigerator before she escaped out of the house. A friend picked her up once she was out.
Officers who responded to the scene found things knocked over and disturbed, indicative of an altercation.
Man sentenced for ordering meth through FedEx
A man who ordered methamphetamine through FedEx with the intent to sell received three years probation Monday in District Court.
Stefan S. Hickel was sentenced to three years suspended for attempted possession with intent to distribute, a felony.
The investigation into Hickel’s actions began Aug. 26, 2014, after FedEx employees in Great Falls called the Tri-Agency Safe Trails Task Force to report a suspicious package.
After it was verified that the package contained meth, it was rewrapped and an agent posing as a FedEx agent delivered the package to Hickel in Havre. Hickel received the package but signed someone else’s name.
Agents later returned with a warrant to question Hickel, who initially denied that he had anything to do with the package. But as the agent told Hickel the information he got from informants and text messages from seized phones, Hickel began to change his story. He admitted to ordering the package but said he was expecting movies, not meth. After opening the package and finding meth, Hickel said he threw it away.
The document goes on to describe the agent going back and forth with Hickel, as well as his wife, who was also questioned.
