Local young cowboys and cowgirls gathered Wednesday to compete in a variety of events in four age categories as well as in several special events.
The youth rodeo is held every year in conjunction with the annual powwow held at Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.
Along with the other events at the 2016 Rocky Boy Celebration, rodeo action is continuing at the reservation with the Indian National Finals Rodeo-sanctioned rodeo, which started Thursday at the Sybil Sangrey-Colliflower Memorial Arena east of Box Elder.
The INFR Tour rodeo and other special rodeo competitions runs through Saturday.
