Officers investigated a complaint Monday at 8:42 a.m. from a 5th Street caller who said her 2-year-old son had been kidnapped and a vehicle stolen.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A deputy making a motor vehicle stop near mile marker 104 on U.S. Highway 87 made two arrests. No further details were provided in the dispatch log.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Monday.

Four firefighters in one engine responded to a call at 2:55 this morning on the 1000 Block of 16th Street West and extinguished a fire on a deck. The fire caused minimal damage and appeared to be caused by cigarettes smoldering in a can used as an ashtray.
